NON-LASER TATTOO REMOVAL & Scar Camouflage

What is Cosmetic Saline Based Tattoo Removal?

Cosmetic Saline Base tattoo removal is an effective method of fading permanent cosmetics by the use of sterilised saline water. This process is equally effective in removing permanent tattoos depending on the depth of the pigmentation. It works by implanting the sterile salt solution on the previously pigmented area by specialised techniques. The reaction of the chloride solution with the unwanted pigmentation fragments the ink particles and draws it out of the skin.

Standard Tattoo Removal vs Non-Laser

Tattooing skin after it has been lasered too many times is often unsuccessful. This is because this skin no longer accepts pigment. This is particularly disappointing for women who have removed a bad set of eyebrows, only to find that there may be difficulties getting a good result now the skin has been compromised. Laser removal works by using light to break up the pigment (ink) that penetrates deep enough down into the skin and then absorbed by the body. The intense light breaks up the pigment into tiny fragments and it is removed by the body’s immune system. Non laser Saline removal works in a different way by bringing the pigment up out the skin.

Method and Procedure

This method of cosmetic tattoo removal is a gradual process that can take up to 2-6 sessions, spaced roughly 8 weeks apart for the desired result, and the duration for each session depends on the size, colour and location of the tattoo. The treatment plan, however, needs dedication, commitment and a little patience from the client because it requires multiple sessions to get the desired result. Slight swelling, tenderness and redness may be expected following the procedure which will subside within 48 hours, and the complete healing takes 7 to 14 days. During the healing process, you can continue most of your normal activities, but no swimming or water is to touch the area, and touching the treated areas should be avoided to prevent infection.

how many procedures do i need?

Tattoo removal is a fantastic way to remove bad work either fully or in parts. However it should be noted that this treatment requires patience. There is no telling how many treatments will be required but a rough guide or between 1-6 depending on how deep or saturated the ink is. Often, visually there is no much difference after one session, yet the ink will have moved up. Session two normally demonstrates more of a difference. If you would like a tattoo removed please contact the team for a consult to see if you are a good candidate.

benefits of the saline method

Many beauticians and clients agree that it is a safe and effective method because it is suitable for all skin types. There is hardly any scarring and has fewer risks of blistering, hyper/hypopigmentation as compared to laser tattoo removal treatments. Saline-based removal is a natural method that uses natural solutions to lighten the pigmented area, and it is equally valid in any ink colours. Whether you have a recent permanent cosmetic treatment or if you have had a tattoo for a long time, the procedure is suitable for old and new corrections. They are also productive in fading and removing any cosmetic tattooing done by amateurs or professionals. Another great benefit of saline-based removal is that the treatment does not affect hair growth on the treated area. So if you had micro-blading on your eyebrows and you want it removed, the hair would still grow back normally.

healing process

Non-laser tattoo removal doesn’t require much time to heal, and since the healing process is painless and does not affect normal body functions, you do not have to take a day off from work for the healing process. Slight swelling, tenderness and redness may be expected following the procedure which will subside within 48 hours. Non-laser tattoo removal only takes about 7-14 days to heal and, in this time, do not wet your brows!! It is best to leave them completely and let them dry out and scab up. Please prepare youself for red skin after the treatment and allow 5-7 days for dark brows with some scabs.

HOW MANY SESSIONS

Scar camouflage is a treatment that involves different techniques, including tattooing to minimise the appearance of scars. We can tattoo in skin-coloured ink (where possible) and blend white scars into your skin tone. We also have a range of medical grade techniques to help shrink and address discoloration in the skin.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME

Scar camouflage is a treatment that does not look good straight away. You must be prepared for skin redness directly in the scar and surrounding skin. This redness can hold for 5-7 days before it turns brown. The brown pigment, which is just a temporary injury response can last up to 6 weeks. Those who have darker skin tones may experience darkness in the healing area for longer. Everyone is individual.

STRETCHMARKS

We can improve the texture and colour of your stretchmarks with various techniques including tattooing. We can treat stretchmarks on your stomach, thighs, bottom, arms, hips and anywhere else they are present.

This treatment works well for both males and females.

Please be advised that the area which is treated will look red and raised until it has healed.

HOW DO I BOOK IN?

Sometimes we recommend a patch test to see if the scar is going to accept treatment. You can book this service online, paying the tray fee as advertised.

Stretchmark treatments can usually go ahead right away and are usually sold in packages. Tattooing is not the only part of the treatment, there are other crucial elements to prep and heal the skin. Typically speaking, we price the amount of skin to be worked by the size of an A5 sheet of paper.
